The WatchDog window shows when the next WatchDog check is scheduled. During a WatchDog check, TeamTime will check both the Absenteeism Schedules to verify the minimum number of employees at a job and the PS Schedules to verify the scheduled employee has checked in to the job. WatchDog compares the Hours table to the Absenteeism Schedule and the PS Schedule to make these determinations.
Note: It is important that this program runs at all times in order for the Paging and Messaging functions to work properly. Page Manager must also be running as well for Paging to function.
Example: Absenteeism—If you have scheduled a Job to start at 8:00 and the Watchdog is set to check the schedules 15 minutes after the start time, Watchdog checks whether the minimum number of employees have checked into the job at 8:15. If there are fewer than the minimum checked in at this time, WatchDog sends a page to the supervisor and enters a message in the supervisor's message box, which can be accessed when the supervisor checks messages.
Example: PS Schedules—If you have scheduled a Job to start at 8:00 and the Watchdog is set to check PS Schedules 15 minutes after the start time, Watchdog checks whether the scheduled employees have checked into the job at 8:15. If one or more of the scheduled employees has not checked in at this time, WatchDog sends a page to the supervisor and enters a message in the supervisor's message box, which can be accessed when the supervisor checks messages.
