Learn how to fix .NET Framework issues when using QuickBooks Desktop.
QuickBooks Desktop uses Microsoft programs to run web-based apps. One of them is Microsoft .NET Framework. If .NET Framework has an issue, QuickBooks may not work properly.
If the .NET Framework 4.5 (or later) checkbox isn't checked:
Select the checkbox to turn on .NET Framework 4.5 (or later).
Select OK to save your changes.
Restart your computer.
If the .NET Framework 4.5 (or later) checkbox is already checked:
Select the checkbox to turn off .NET Framework 4.5 (or later). Don't turn it back on.
Select OK to save your changes.
Restart your computer.
When you're signed in back into Windows, follow the steps to turn on .NET Framework 4.5 again.
Check NET Framework 3.5 SP1
If the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 checkbox isn't checked:
Select the checkbox to turn on .NET Framework 3.5 SP1.
Select OK to save your changes.
Restart your computer.
If the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 checkbox is already checked:
Select the checkbox to turn off .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. Don't turn it back on.
Select OK to save your changes.
Restart your computer.
When you're signed in back into Windows, follow the steps to turn .NET Framework 3.5 SP1on again.
If you see an error when turning .NET Framework on or off, reach out to an IT professional or Microsoft. The issue may be related to your operating system, not QuickBooks.
Open a Command Prompt as an administrator and navigate to:
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319.
Run the following command: aspnet_regiis.exe -iru. This can be run as: aspnet_regiis.exe -i. aspnet_regiis.exe -ir. aspnet_regiis.exe -iru. It is advised that you run each iteration of this command once.

Type “cmd” and press Enter. Enter the command: Type “wmic /namespace:rootcimv2 path win32_product where “name like 'Microsoft .NET Framework%'” get version” without quotes, and press Enter. View the results: The Command Prompt will show a list of installed .
Type a CHKDSK command in the command prompt and press “Enter”.Include parameters like “/f”, “/r”, and “/x” to scan and repair any errors. Note: If you opt to only scan your PC for drive errors, type “chkdsk” and press “Enter”.

In the Control Panel window, you have to click on Programs. Now click on the link saying, 'Turn Windows features on or off' as highlighted in the screenshot shown below.
Perform Windows Update to update your system to the latest version, and then install ScanSnap Home again. If the message still appears, click "blocked Microsoft® . NET Framework 4.7 installations" in the message to install Microsoft® . NET Framework 4.7 again.
