The default perspective of the workspace shows the TestCases window. Other windows can be accessed via the corresponding tabs (e.g. Modules, ExecutionLists).

Default perspective

You can customize the window and tab view according to your needs and save this as a perspective by selecting View->Manage->Save. You can also export this perspective as a TCL file or import a perspective into your workspace. In addition, you can load or delete perspectives by selecting View->Manage->Manage.

To restore the default perspective, select View->Select->Default.

All options available for defining perspectives are described in chapter "View menu".

If for some reason it is not possible to import some or all perspective windows, the default workspace view is shown.

Windows and tabs

Each object type of the Tosca Commander workspace has its own window (e.g. TestCases, Modules, etc.). At the top of each window you can see a tab for each window. You can modify the order of the tabs and you can reposition windows by using drag and drop.

Left-click onto a tab and drag this to your preferred position. To move all tabs from one window to another, hold the Shift key down, left-click onto the required tab and drag this to the window of your choice.

You can also open a new section window and place it where you need it. In this example we insert the Modules window right next to the TestCases window.

Go to the Home menu and select Modules from the Section drop-down menu. Place the window where you need it.

Switching between Details and Properties view

From a vertical perspective, all windows are divided into two sections. The left section displays the objects in a tree structure - tree view. The right section shows the details of the object that is selected. In the right window you have also a properties pane. This shows the object properties of the selected object.

The Properties pane is collapsed by default. To expand it, click on the Manage the workspace sections (8)Properties button on the top right corner of your window.

Closing windows

Windows in Tosca Commander can be closed individually via the Manage the workspace sections (10) symbol of the corresponding tab. The context menu of a tab allows you to close either the current window or all windows except for the currently selected one.

The Option New Vertical Tab Group opens a new window in a new tab group. The option Move to Next Tab Group positions the new window in the next tab group.
