Overview[]

Beat Saber has a campaign mode available from the start with 51 missions, each including a song with various challenges. Some missions will have 2-3 challenges in one, and you will have to complete them all to beat the mission. Completing all missions grants the Peace achievement.

Level Tree[]

Navigation[]

The campaign is comprised of a level tree, where each level has one or missions shown as a circle node. At the beginning of a campaign only a single mission is unlocked. After a song within a mission is completed successfully, one or more missions may be unlocked. A level may have more than one mission, in which case each mission within that level is denoted with an additional letter such as 2a, 2b, etc. There are a total of 31 levels, with each level having one or more missions.

Unlock Requirements[]

Each mission has its own difficulty, song, type, objectives, and modifiers. The difficulty of the missions generally increase along with level progression. On top of that, there are barriers that cannot be passed unless the player has successfully completed a certain number of missions.

Modifiers[]

Modifiers are special attributes to a mission that affect game play.

Objectives[]

Objectives say what you must do in order to complete a mission.

  • To get 100 points for a cut, swing the saber through at least 90 degrees before and 60 degrees after the cut.
  • To get an additional 15 points, cut close to the center of the block.
MissCompletely fail to make contact with the block the given maximum (or minimum) number of times.
ComboMake the given minimum (or maximum) number of consecutive good cuts in a row.
Hands MovementMove your hands the given minimum (or maximum) distance. For minimum distance, just move your arms a lot. For maximum distance, it might help to hold your forearms against your body and just use your wrists.
Bad CutsCut the block in the wrong direction or with the wrong saber a maximum (or minimum) number of times.

Tips and Strategies[]

Scoring[]

  • To get 100 points for a cut, swing the saber through at least 90 degrees before and 60 degrees after the cut.
  • To get an additional 15 points, cut close to the center of the block.
  • Even if you are doing badly, complete the song so it will add to your lifetime score and time played.
  • Notes typically flow together. So a string of notes close together are likely going up, down, up, down, or left, right, left, right. This is honestly important to know as it will help you find the rhythm in most songs.
  • Always use full, accurate swings to get the highest score for each block.
  • The modifiers on the left of the modifier board benefit you by giving you a score multiplier at the end. Use these to your advantage while going for the 100,000,000.
  • Pay attention to the notes and nothing else, you can often find yourself peeping the combo or score, and then getting off beat.

Game Settings[]

  • Bounce setting will adjust when the blocks bounce out so you don't see a train of blocks

Miscellaneous[]

  • You can also play "one hand mode" or "no arrow mode" via free play to give yourself more song options and give the game a fun twist.
