Which emulators are installed with the Azure SDK? (2024)

AzureSDK has two emulators namely Compute Emulator and Storage Emulator. These emulators are used by developers to operate the cloud applications on the local machine.

Compute Emulator reproduces the computing environment. VS should be run as an administrator to use a compute emulator. This emulator uses Internet information systems for executing the cloud application. We can manage the application on our local machine without uploading the application to the cloud by this Compute Emulator.

Storage Emulator reproduces the Azure storage service on our local machine. You can specify the storage connected to the Storage emulator to connect services like Azure Blob, Queue, and Table services.
