Characteristics
The ripper is a chain-blade type weapon that has very high DPS. It can also be used with mods to disarm targets. However, when executing a V.A.T.S. critical attack, the Ripper seems to only do 1 hit of its otherwise 5 hit attack per non-critical V.A.T.S. attack; this may be a bug.

One location for the Ripper is in theWest Everett Estates(a super mutant hideout), more specifically inside a shack next to a yellow house, just before the entrance to Backyard Bunker. Inside just beside the entrance to the bunker, on a cabinet you will find the Ripper. It can also be bought fromArturo, in Diamond City. Additionally, Ripper weapons with legendary effects can be looted randomly from legendary enemies.
