Quick-Step app drives consumer traffic | News (2024)

Officially launched this past spring, Quick-Step’s Style My Floor app is designed to help empower consumers to view Quick-Step floors in their home before stepping into a brick and mortar store.
According to Asi Peres, digital marketing manager at Quick-Step, Style My Floor is a real time visualization tool that allows the consumer to view a majority of Quick-Step’s product offering in their space as well as provide detailed product information.

“We’ve found that Style My Floor is being used by technology savvy people who are in the beginning stages of the floor purchasing process,” Peres explained. “These users are looking for color and style inspiration, at-home confirmation of an in-store decision or they need help narrowing down multiple Quick-Step products they are interested in.”

Initially, she noted, customers were using the app on their mobile phone but the company is seeing a surge in people using the app on their iPad and tablet. And because Style My Floor was made to help consumers navigate the buying process with ease before shopping, most of the app’s usage has been reported in the homes of potential consumers.

“Some retailers are also showing it in-store and encouraging customers to go home and download the app to get a realistic visual of what certain floors look like,” she said, but adding that consumers have been more open to adopting the new technology, as many retailers are still not as technology savvy and there are some store limitations. “However, we feel like we’ve only skimmed the surface. The support we’re receiving and excitement around the app internally will just give us even greater momentum to reach a larger audience.”

Style My Floor was created to drive high quality traffic to the retail store, ultimately leading more consumers to make confident purchasing decisions. Key features include the ability for customer to order up to five free samples as well as locate Quick-Step retailers near them.

“We’ve received a very positive response from ‘early adopters’ and people in the technology community. We are seeing an influx in in-app sample orders as well as time spent in the app, which is an indication of an increase in overall engagement. More and more people are using technology to make big purchase decisions and this app is one of the most realistic and easy-to-use visualization tools in the flooring industry,” she said.

But like any new technology, Peres explained that there is still work to be done to perfect the apps use. “We are definitely open to receive any feedback on how we can make Style My Floor better for both consumers and retailers,” she said.

Style My Floor is available for free download on iOS and Android devices.
