| Ancient Leshen Mutagen | Slay the Ancient Leshen in the In the Heart of the Woods side quest. Slay ancient leshen in Dark Legacy side quest in Heart of Stone DLC. |
| Arachas Mutagen | Kill a poisonous Arachas as part of the Contract: Missing Brother in Velen. You can also get a random drop when slaying Arachassouth of the Orphans of Crookbag Bog in Velen. |
| Archgriffin Mutagen | Kill the Archgriffin in Master Armorers orContract: The Creature from Oxenfurt Forest |
| Basilisk Mutagen | There are a fewBasilisks in the game, including on Bald Mountain |
| Chort Mutagen | Get it as part of the Contract: Mysterious Tracks side quest |
| co*ckatrice Mutagen | As part of the side quest Contract: Shrieker or in various locations. |
| Doppler Mutagen | Kill the Doppler as part of the Contract: An Elusive Thief side quest. There are no other Dopplers in the game. If you spared him, this mutagen cannot be found. |
| Earth Elemental Mutagen | As part of the Contract: Doors Slamming Shut and Brothers in Arms side quests. Also, north of the House of Respite, east of Kimbolt Way in Velen, guarding a treasure and in the side quest The Tower Outta Nowheres. |
| Ekhidna Mutagen | Ekhidna are found throughout the game, including Skellige's coast lines |
| Ekimmara Mutagen | In Dragonslayer's Grotto, Velen, an Ekimmara random drops one (save before battle). Also, choose to be "nosy" as part of the quest: Contract: The Mystery of the Byway Murders and fight another. |
| Fiend Mutagen | In the side quests Return to Crookback Bog and Contract: Missing Son, Skellige |
| Foglet Mutagen | Foglets are common, including near the abandoned town on Bald Mountain and in other areas ofNorth Velen (ex:northwest of House of Respite). You can face off with one in the Contract: Swamp Thing quest. |
| Forktail Mutagen | Via random Forktail encounters, including the side quest Contract: Dragon |
| Grave Hag Mutagen | In the side quest Contract: the Merry Widow |
| Griffin Mutagen | Early in the game, via The Beast of White Orchard quest. |
| Katakan Mutagen | As part of the side quest Now or Never, Contract: The Oxenfurt Drunk and in a ruined building in Kaer Gelen in Skellege. |
| Leshen Mutagen | Via the side quest Contract: Lord of the Wood. Or random drops in various encounters in Velen, including at a guarded treasure far east of the Herbalist's Hut and at the Abandoned Sawmill. |
| Nekker Warrior Mutagen | As part of the Contract: Strange Beast on Larvik, in Skellige, orvia random drops inside Kaehr Morhen Cave |
| Nightwraith Mutagen | Via Contract: Jenny o' the Woods near Midcopse in Velen |
| Noonwraith Mutagen | Via Contract: Devil by the Well or Contract: The White Lady |
| Succubus Mutagen | There are two areas to get this mutagen. Kill the Succubus in the Contract: Deadly Delight quest or kill the one in Practicum in Advanced Alchemy in Skellige. If you spared both, you cannot acquire the mutagen. |
| Troll Mutagen | Fight trolls in sidequests (instead of saving them), such as the Contract: Missing Miners quest. You can also get one randomlyfrom a Rock Rabid Troll in southeast Velen, near the bandit camp closest to the Crossroads marker, and a level 16 Troll near Trail to Yngvar's Fang in east Skellige |
| Water Hag Mutagen | Via random drops from Water Hags through Velen's bogs |
| Werewolf Mutagen | As part of the Ladies in the Woods main quest or the side quest In Wolf's Clothing. You'll get another shot as part of The Tower Outta Nowheres Skellige quest. |
| Wraith Mutagen | From wraiths' random drops throughout caves and dungeons |
| Wyvern Mutagen | From the side quest Patrol Gone Missing in Velen. You can also encounter Wyverns in other locations, including south of Kaer Gelen in Skellige (after completing The Tower Outta Nowheres and The Path of Warriors) |
