Is it better to have battery optimization on or off? ›

Turn on battery optimization for each app

Important: If you turn off battery optimization for an app, that app can run more while you're not using it, even when Adaptive Battery is on. This can use more battery than needed. Open your phone's Settings app.

From the Home screen, tap the Apps Key > Settings > Battery > Battery saver > Turn Battery saver on. Set the desired option, then tap the switch at the top right corner of the screen to toggle it off or on. You can set the phone to activate Battery saver mode immediately, when the charge drops to 10%, 20%, 30%, or 50%.
