Re: Is there a way to import GPX files or roadwork in waze? There is not. However, if there is long term closures (2 weeks or more), map editors can change segments and restrict turns so that Waze will not route through these areas.

There is no easy way to import them all unfortunately. You can copy and paste the location information from Google Maps into Waze though.

Waze doesn't have an offline maps feature. The navigation app depends on real-time data and user input to help you move around and avoid traffic jams. If you're driving while using it and experience traffic from an accident, report it on the app.

Any Waze user can become a map editor by logging into the Waze Map Editor (WME). All map editors start at level 1, and can then progress through the ladder of levels and roles as they gain experience, learn the intricacies of WME and map editing, and become involved in the community.

Google Maps seems to be more reliable, accurate and has better real-time traffic, whereas Waze has a larger army of fans who think the app is amazing who love its voice prompts feature. However, updates caused issues for both apps.
